Twin Front Sway Bar Mounting

By Karl Schluter -Low Zep

This is a race proven modification from the 1960’s.

Making four mounts out of solid steel stock (A). Drill 2 holes for the sway bars before turning the block front on to drill 3 mounting bolt holes, tapping one side. Then cut the block in half, do this until you have at least 4 to mount at points 1, 2, 3 and 4. Blocks 1 and 4 can be used for sway bar stiffness adjustment by moving them to the rear or to the front of the car. The lower bar is a standard Ford sway bar that should be the same model as the car you are working on eg: MKll has a Mkll bar added underneath.

In the "Good old days" it was not uncommon to see a car with up to 4 bars mounted to the front!
