Strut Tower Brace

By Karl Schluter -Low Zep

This is a brace from a design I made years ago for a 6-cylinder car.

Even with it I noticed a definite improvement in road holding through corners, especially if you hit bumps etc in the road.

I feel with heavier springs and larger tyres etc, a brace like this (in junction with a steering box brace) is a necessity. I have not seen any real advantage on having the bars going back to the fire wall but that can also be done. If you like, the bar and brackets can be welded as one piece if you slot the mounting holes or rod ends could also be used at each end of the bar.
